Pedro Jordan

Pedro Jordan was born in Spain.  In 1995  he started as a student in the sculpture academy art of Alberto Gómez Ascaso  in Zaragoza with programmed courses for different technics, materials around the sculpture and studying history of art.  He has participated in many exhibitions for example :

Exhib. in Forum II gallery, Marbella, (Málaga).
Individual exhib. in a room of the S.D.R. Arenas, Tudela .

Collective exhib. in "Sala Barna" gallery, Barcelona.

He was awarded for his work in various competitions for example : 2007 Prize of the aid celebrated by the Ecocity Valdespartera ,Zaragoza, steel piece, 4 meters of height.

Title of the project: "APHRODITE"

Concept: ‘I want show here my personal vision of Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, love and desire in classical Greece, where part of body naked have a stylization almost geometrical, looking for only essential lines, and the other part is covered by dress, as usual. This is a little model carved in limestone, where we can appreciate three different textures: as sanded as possible for the skin part, a soft texture like "bujarda" for the dress part. and a strong natural rugosity by pointer down, like symbol of natural element, water , from where she was born.’
