Mischa Pertsev

Mischa Pertsev was born in Canada. He has Extensive professional experience  , working with sculptures ranging from miniatures to monumental installations. He has participated in many symposiums for example :

  • Bull (monumental limestone park sculpture), “11th Sculpture Symposium”, Museon Park, Moscow, Russia
  • Aesop (monumental limestone park sculpture), “10th Sculpture Symposium”, Museon Park, Moscow, Russia

He was awarded for his work in various competitions for example: Gold Winner Young Sculptors Competition Dedicated to 100-year Anniversary Since the Birth of Antuan de Sent Exupery (conducted by the French Consulate in Russia) Moscow, Russia
Awarded with a trip to Normandy, France and sculptural practice in the studio of French sculptor Jan Mark de Pas.
Member of SSBC (Sculptors Society of British Columbia)

Title of the project: "Europe and Zeus"

Concept: The two-figured composition consists of  opposing forces :male and female. ‎The woman is feminine fragile and fertile.  Beside her is  a bull: her strong and masculine  protector. Together  they create a unified force of nature   that is the foundation of all live.
